Help with animals and other jobs at a Pyrenean retreat centre.

The experience

Hi! We host wellness retreats Spring and Autumn and families in the summer. We are looking for 2 young friends or a couple for the summer period. We look for fun social people are great with kids as well as animals, who don't mind getting stuck in to domestic as well as practical jobs around the property.
We can offer a 2 bedroom mobile home in it's own field, with private bathroom and kitchen.

What you offer

22 hours of help per week

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner French

Between 22 and 35 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

We usually work 5 mornings per week; 8.30 until 1pm, when stop for lunch which we have together on working days. Breakfasts and evening meals you mostly have in your accommodation, with food we provide for you.

Activities & Shift


July and August is when we have families; we host events for them with the animals (donkey riding with apero at our view point) and i do 1 meal/ week in our garden; help cooking/serving/washing up is much appreciated and you join in on all the social events.
We can use any practical and creative skills; We like people with a good positive attitude with a love for nature and animals. Keen hikers will be in heaven here.

Rules

No smoking inside anywhere or at the pool.
Respect for the environment, animals, the property including your accommodation, guests and each other.
Use of pool offered at quiet times; There is also a river with rock pools for river swimming.
