🌍 Support Disadvantaged Children in Rural Uganda 🌱📚
The experience
We are a community-based nonprofit working with disadvantaged children in the Gomba district of Uganda. Our mission is to provide love, hope, and opportunities through access to basic education, scholastic materials, self-reliance skills, clothing, and food. 💛
By helping children receive the learning materials they need, you’ll not only support their education but also reduce school dropouts and inspire them to pursue their dreams.

Accommodation & Meals:
🏡 Volunteers stay in Kanoni town, where there is electricity, clean water, and fresh air. Bedrooms with mattresses and bed sheets are provided.
🍲 Three meals a day are included, featuring local East African food such as matooke, cassava, beans, posho, sweet potatoes, groundnuts, and vegetables. (If you’d like something special, local restaurants are nearby at a small cost.)
Transport:
Since schools don’t have electricity and are located in rural areas, volunteers stay in town and travel to schools by boda bodas (motorbikes). We currently support three schools in the Gomba district.
Activities & Shift
We invite volunteers 18 years and older who are passionate about uplifting underprivileged children and committed to making a positive impact. 🌍
As a volunteer, you’ll:
-Work directly with children in rural schools 🏫
-Share knowledge, skills, and encouragement
-Support programs aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education, Zero Hunger, and No Poverty
This experience is not about money—it’s about sharing ideas, creativity, and compassion to help our community progress and give children hope.
📌 Volunteers usually teach or support children for about 4 hours per day (20 hours per week), with schedules adapted to the needs of each day. Flexibility is key.
🗓️ You’ll have 2 days off weekly to rest or explore the community.
Rules
Because our program involves minors, we follow clear rules to ensure safety and respect:
Children are not allowed in volunteers’ rooms
Volunteers are expected to respect our 12 simple community guidelines
Patience, kindness, and cultural sensitivity are essential
