The experience

Welcome to our cozy hostel in the heart of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan 🏰🌞. We love hosting travelers from all around the world and creating a warm, welcoming space in the magical Thar Desert. As a volunteer, you’ll help us keep things running smoothly while enjoying authentic cultural exchange and exploring one of India’s most beautiful regions.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Between 20 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

This program is perfect for volunteers who enjoy hospitality and want to be part of the day-to-day life of a desert hostel. You’ll help with reception tasks, supporting guests, and light housekeeping to keep the space clean and welcoming. It’s a great way to meet people from all over the world while experiencing local life.

Activities & Shift

🛎️ Reception & Guest Support: Welcoming travelers, check-in/check-out, sharing local tips.
🧹 Housekeeping: Light cleaning of common areas, preparing rooms, keeping spaces tidy.

⏰ Schedule:
• 4–5 hours per day
• 5 days per week (2 days off, flexible)
• Shifts usually divided between morning (breakfast & check-outs) and evening (guest interaction).
