Internship in organic farming in Canada's largest ecovillage
The experience
Join our agriculture team and help us grow delicious organic food for our ecovillage and for sale at local markets. As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to plant, cultivate, and harvest various fruits and vegetables in our greenhouses and fields.
A typical day starts at 8 a.m. You'll take a break for lunch from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., which is provided as a buffet for the whole community. Work then resumes until 3 p.m.
What you offer

Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.

Requirements
Intermediate French or Intermediate English
Between 18 and 54 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
Volunteers are housed in a clean, 3 bedroom apartment. Depending on the number of volunteer, you could have your own bedroom or share with someone.
Volunteers have access to free unlimited food to cook there breakfast and dinner and snacks. Lunch in provided as a buffet every day form Monday to Friday, where all the community members gather to eat.
You are welcome to participate in community events and sport during the evenings and the weekends.
Unlimited Wi-Fi is provided as well as tones of books, games and more.
We can accommodate English speaking Volunteers, but our main language is French.
Activities & Shift
A typical workday starts at 8 am and ends at 3 pm with a 1h30 break for lunch but that can vary depending on daily needs.
Volunteers follow the farming team in their daily activities.
