Seeking a kind DIY soul to help with family house

The experience

Hello beautiful souls! I am reaching out for some help with my much beloved family house I grew up in. Both my parents have sadly passed, I am now looking for help with all sorts of DIY to give my family home some TLC it so deserves. The house is located in a stunning village with gorgeous hiking trails around. This project is ideal for someone self-sufficient, resourceful and happy in their own company.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Spanish

Between 21 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

and surrounded with a beautiful garden. Hiking trails in the surrounding area are absolutely stunning. I will be away during winter and back in May, so you could either stay in the house on your own during wintertime or hang out with me during the summer.

Activities & Shift

I'd expect at least 5 hours of active working time during the week, your weekends will be free. This is very flexible and I don't mind you taking more time off as long as you're willing to respect our agreement. If I'm not around I offer allowance money for food. Depending on your length of stay we would agree which jobs can be done so that expectations are clear for both of us.

Rules

No smoking in the house, no drugs, no parties or noise after 10pm (very quiet rural neighbourhood so any noise after 10m would mean trouble), respect for the house and for my family legacy, keeping it clean.
