The experience

Experience village life in Bilebante. In the morning, join farming and gardening by planting herbs like ginger and turmeric, growing vegetables, and taking part in rice planting or harvesting in season. In the afternoon, continue with traditional livestock activities alongside the locals. A journey to live, grow, and heal with nature


What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 15 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: With $15, it already includes accommodation and three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Intermediate English or Intermediate Arabic

Between 18 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesnโ€™t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

The Bilebante Green Living: Herbal Permaculture Program offers volunteers the opportunity to experience authentic village life while supporting sustainable farming practices. Volunteers will learn about herbal cultivation, organic gardening, rice farming, compost making, and traditional livestock care. This program combines hands-on activities with cultural exchange, allowing participants to contribute to the community while connecting with nature and local wisdom.


Activities & Shift

Morning (07:00 โ€“ 11:30)

Farming and gardening activities.
Planting and caring for herbal crops (ginger, turmeric, etc.).
Growing seasonal vegetables such as chili, eggplant, and bitter gourd.
Learning natural composting methods.
Participating in rice farming (planting or harvesting, depending on the season).

Afternoon (15:00 โ€“ 17:30)

Traditional livestock care (feeding, cleaning, or learning from local farmers).
Occasional cultural or community activities (sharing meals, storytelling, or workshops).

Free Time
Midday break (12:00 โ€“ 14:30) and evenings are free for rest, cultural exchange, or exploring the village surroundings.


Rules

1.Respect local culture, customs, and traditions at all times.
2.Follow the daily schedule and instructions from local coordinators.
3.Dress modestly and appropriately for village and farm activities.
4.No drugs or excessive alcohol consumption during the program.
5.Take care of provided tools, accommodation, and shared spaces.
6.Be open-minded, cooperative, and ready to learn from the community.
