The experience

Be part of one of the first backpacker-style hostels in Siwa Oasis, where culture, connection, and adventure come together. Our mission is to create a home away from home — a place where travelers from around the world feel welcome, share stories, and enjoy the unique spirit of Siwa. As a volunteer, you’ll help us build this vibrant community while experiencing the magic of the desert, the salt lakes, and the local traditions🤗🫂


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Over 18 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

In your free time, you can explore the wonders of Siwa: crystal-clear salt lakes, hot springs, palm groves, desert adventures, and ancient sites like the Temple of the Oracle. This is a place where history and nature blend into a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Activities & Shift

As a volunteer, you’ll help us with:

Welcoming guests and creating a friendly, inclusive atmosphere
Keeping shared areas clean, cozy, and inviting
Preparing simple breakfasts and grocery shopping
Helping with check-ins and check-outs
Supporting fun activities like music nights, workshops, or yoga sessions
Contributing your creativity in gardening, DIY projects, or design


5 hours per day, 5 days a week (flexible schedule depending on needs)
Tasks may include: guest assistance, room prep, breakfast help, cleaning, grocery runs, or event support
Plenty of free time to relax, explore, and enjoy Siwa’s magic🌴


Rules

Accommodation: a bed in a shared dorm (private or shared staff rooms may be possible depending on availability)

Access to shared bathrooms, kept clean and comfortable

Each bed has a reading light & locker (bring your own padlock or buy one here)

Respect the space, staff, guests, and fellow volunteers

Please note: we share the hostel with two cats 🐱🐱 and one dog 🐶 — animal lovers are welcome!
