The experience

This project is organizedand hosted by De Amicitia www.deamictia.org at CASA JAZMIN that acts as a permanent volunteer centre. Volunteers will primarily undertake agricultural work, suporting Agricologia https://ecoescoles.info/ that produces and distributes organic horticultural products along with a non-profit association that promotes the development of environmental and agricultural education activities for children.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

What you get

Program Details


The volunteers will primarily undertake agricultural work, although there may be some opportunities to assist the local community (Ayuntamiento) plus some beekeeping work, when needed. Additionally, there will be occasional educational activities with children or visits to senior centers or other social events to support the community organizations in the area, to complete 6-7 working hours a day. 2 days per week will be free.

Activities & Shift

Waiking up early and walking 3 km to Agricologia Daily. Having dinner. Evenings for free and wekends to explore the area. Cooking and cleaning teams

Rules

It is a self managed houese so we need people to be 100% RESPOSIBLE: The volunteers will stay in a volunteer house with three rooms with several bunkbeds and bathrooms. They will share rooms with four to six other volunteers. The house includes a nice kitchen in which the volunteers will cook for themselves in the guidance of the camp leaders.
You can either bring your own sheets or a sleeping bag. There are beds and pillows but no sheets or pillow covers.
Recently renovated but there are always some pending tasks to complete because it is a house made for volunteers. Volunteers can carry out some basic tasks like painting, throwing out extra materials and organising spaces.
