The experience
Roots & Wings Ghana is a community-based initiative in Mpintsin, Takoradi (Western Region), supporting children, schools, and cultural exchange.
Our mission is to create sustainable change through projects that benefit local children and the wider community. Volunteers help us run:
After-school programs, literacy and reading clubs, and creative arts workshops
Sports and recreational activities to encourage teamwork and personal growth

What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Arts:
Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Program Details
Roots & Wings Ghana is a community-based initiative in Mpintsin, Takoradi, dedicated to supporting children, schools, and sustainable community projects. Volunteers assist with after-school programs, creative arts, and mentorship, while experiencing Ghanaian culture through cooking, storytelling, music, and language exchange. Join us to make a meaningful impact, share skills, and connect with a welcoming local community.
Activities & Shift
Support after-school programs, literacy and reading clubs, and mentorship for children.
Lead or assist with creative arts, music, dance, and sports activities.
Help with environmental awareness campaigns and light community improvement projects.
Participate in cultural exchange activities, including cooking, storytelling, and language practice.
Assist with classroom organization, school painting, or small renovation projects.
Shift / Hours:
Up to 20 hours per week, flexible depending on daily schedule.
2 full days off per week to rest or explore the community.
Work schedule can be adapted based on volunteer skills and interests.
Rules
1. Be kind, respectful, and open to learning about Ghanaian culture and community life.

3. Help keep shared spaces tidy and organized.
