The experience

We are looking for an enthusiastic Math, English or French teachers who would like to have an amazing experience in our beautiful school. Our kids are very respectful and love learning. Our team is welcoming, kind and eager for learning from other cultures. You will also enjoy the Nicaraguan culture through free tours. Please give a time for yourself surrounded of amazing people and the angels on Earth: our students!


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate French

Between 25 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

This is an ecological bilingual school. We teach all classes in English and students are taught not only about how to care of the environment, but also how to take care among us. We consider ourselves as family. Zero tolerance to bullying. Respect, kindness and love are the key to succeed in our school.


Activities & Shift

You will be working from Monday to Saturday morning shift only. (7:00am-12:30pm. Afternoon and evenings free. Whole Sunday off.


Rules

1) Be respectful.
2) Ask before using something in the house.
3) Keep a respectful relationship with the kids and members of the staff and your host family.
4) Before embarking on this journey be sure to ask all question you consider relevant for your accomodations.
5) If you accidentally break something at school or in your bedroom, let us know.
6) Smoking and drinking is not allowed.
7)Avoid being alone in a classroom with a student.
8) We have pets: dogs and cats. If you are allergic to cats please take this into account. Important to highlight, our propperty is big with patio and some plants, so the cats do not get into your bedroom but just in case be aware. You are allowed to shoo them away kindly and they will obey.
