The experience

Come and immerse yourself in a truly unique lifestyle on a remote, abandoned village homestead in Cyprus. Here, there are no local services or transport within walking distance — it’s a place to disconnect from the rush of modern life and reconnect with nature. 🌍✨

Program Details

Our goal is to share this way of life with others who are curious about self-sufficiency and eco-living.
Help us with daily seasonal gardening chores, tree pruning, planting trees, seed sowing and seed collection, eco build projects, land maintenance, building fences, olive harvesting, building further hugelkultur beds and creating new chill out areas around our land. Learn new skills and how to live off grid. Finding creative ways to use salvaged items to make what we need.

Stay in your own private building amongst our upper olive groves trees.

The large room has one double bed - so only solo traveller or a couple sleeping together. Therefore we only have one or a pair of guests at a time. Note there is no heating in the room.

Towels provided must not be taken to beach or used outside.

No food provided, but use of triple gas burner to cook on, plus all kitchen pans, plates, cups , utensils etc supplied. A small fridge is also provided in your room. The sealed food storage box must be used in the room - no food left out as we are in a very rural area.

Own large sink in private utility block has a large butler sink that can also be used if you want to wash your clothes.

Utility block also has one flushing toilet and solar shower (note it is dependant on warm weather for heat).

⚠️ Volunteers must arrange their own transport to apply.
🚭 Smoking and vaping are strictly not allowed.

Activities & Shift

Depending on the season, volunteers may support us with:

🌳 Gardening projects (planting, watering, pruning)
🌿 Olive picking and tree care
🛠️ Eco-building projects (using natural and salvaged materials)

We ask for just 3 hours of help per day, usually in the morning when it’s cooler — leaving you the rest of the day free to explore Cyprus. Your free time can be as social or as quiet as you like: join us in our chill-out area with stunning views, or simply relax in nature.
