Picking on Magdalen Islands, Quebec

The experience

We are a family-run micro-farm producing strawberries and honey since 2022. We have been living on the Islands since January 2020, and we are former woofers ourselves. We have done woofing in Gaspésie, Saguenay, and at the Petits Fruits en Folie farm on the Islands.
If you do volunterring with us, you’ll be surrounded by Sébastien, the manager; Margot, the co-manager; William, our apprentice farmer; and Keisha and Freia, our animal companions.

Program Details

On a daily basis, you will need to take care of our chickens: feed them, collect the eggs, clean the henhouse. Feel free to take our dog for a walk if you feel like it.
You’ll also be involved in picking and maintaining the strawberry and blueberry plants. Weeding.
Help in the family vegetable garden. Plowing, weeding, harvesting, watering... Everything is small-scale and accessible here.
We also have beehives, and you’ll need to do inspections if you feel comfortable with that!
Maybe even harvest the honey if you’re here in September!
