The experience
Join us as an Events & Guest Experience Volunteer! You’ll help run hostel events, welcome and engage guests, and create a fun, social atmosphere. Tasks include assisting at events, coordinating activities, and supporting daily operations. We expect friendliness, reliability, and enthusiasm. Shifts are ~25 hrs/week, with plenty of free time to join events and explore the city!

Program Details
Join us as an Events & Guest Experience Volunteer and become a key part of our hostel’s vibrant community! In this role, you’ll help organize and run daily events, welcome and engage guests from all over the world, and create a lively, fun, and inclusive atmosphere. Your tasks will include assisting at social events, coordinating activities, supporting front desk operations when needed, and helping maintain a positive environment for all guests.
We expect our volunteers to be friendly, energetic, and proactive, with a willingness to interact with guests and contribute to the social life of the hostel. Reliability, good communication, and a positive attitude are essential, as your work directly shapes the experiences of travelers staying with us.
In return, you’ll gain hands-on experience in event coordination and hospitality, have the opportunity to meet and connect with travelers from diverse cultures, and enjoy full access to all hostel activities. We provide a supportive team, clear guidance, and fair schedules, with approximately 30 hours of volunteering per week, leaving plenty of time to explore the city, join events, and enjoy your stay.

Activities & Shift
As an Events & Guest Experience Volunteer, your week will be dynamic and social! You’ll contribute around 25 hours per week, helping to create an energetic and welcoming environment for our guests.
Daily Activities Checklist:
- Assist in organizing and running hostel events and social activities.
- Welcome and engage guests, helping them feel at home.
- Lead or support the hostel team during activities and events.
- Help promote events to guests and encourage participation.
- Maintain a friendly, positive, and safe atmosphere throughout the hostel.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Shifts:
Shifts are flexible but organized in advance, totaling roughly 25 hours per week. They are designed to balance volunteering with free time, allowing you to join events, explore the city, or relax in the hostel. You may be asked to lead or assist with events, engage with guests, or coordinate team activities during your shift.
This role is perfect for travelers who love meeting new people, enjoy social environments, and want hands-on experience in event coordination and hospitality.
