📚 Education & Childcare Volunteer in Uganda

The experience

Do you want to make a real impact in the lives of children and young people? 💛 As a volunteer, you’ll support vulnerable children, orphans, street kids, and youth with special needs through basic teaching, mentorship, and recreational activities.
Your mission is to create a safe, fun, and inspiring space that nurtures confidence and opportunity, helping to break the cycle of illiteracy.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Elderly Care: Assisting and spending time with the elderly.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Pubs: Get discounts at nearby pubs.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

As part of this program, you will:

Assist in teaching literacy, numeracy, and life skills.
Provide childcare and mentorship to children in need.
Organize creative workshops: art, music, sports, games, and storytelling.
Support with homework and educational reinforcement.
Help with daily routines and recreational activities.
