Activities & Shift

The days for the marketing coordinator can be quite varied, depending on what campaign/event/material is in focus that particular week. However, some activities will be more regular, such as daily social media posts and writing the monthly newsletter. You will also have weekly meetings with the Marketing Manager, Marketing Volunteer, and potentially Recruitment or Volunteer Coordinators, to track progress and discuss developing operational needs. There are also weekly Social Media meetings with all other volunteers who are members of the social media team.

If we have an active Photography Volunteer, you will coordinate with them to organise photo and video content, but you may need to do this yourself if the position has not been filled. Other tasks will involve developing different types of marketing resources, web design, preparing & implementing events, updating marketing material for volunteer recruitment, etc.
