Program Details

Bale Nara Bali is the franchise of Bale Nara Lombok, a social impact initiative dedicated to sustainable tourism, cultural preservation, and youth empowerment. Our mission is to connect communities, travelers, and volunteers through authentic Balinese experiences that highlight tradition, environment, and creativity.

As a volunteer, you will help us develop and grow the Bale Nara Bali website (https://www.balenara.com) into a global hub that showcases our projects, cultural activities, and sustainability programs. You’ll collaborate with our youth team, share your digital expertise, and help train local volunteers to continue managing the platform. This program combines digital work with opportunities to immerse yourself in Balinese daily life, join cultural workshops, and contribute to real community impact.

Activities & Shift

Weekly commitment: 4–5 hours/day, 4 days a week (flexible schedule).

Activities include:
Improving website design and functionality (WordPress or other CMS).
Uploading and creating content: blogs, photos, videos about Bali’s culture and community work.
Optimizing the website for better visibility (SEO, keywords, simple analytics).
Training our youth volunteers on basic digital and content management skills.
Supporting storytelling by documenting sustainable tourism initiatives and local traditions.

Sample day:
Morning: Team briefing + website work (design updates, uploading content).
Afternoon: Content creation (photography, writing, or interviews with locals).
Evening (optional): Cultural activity (language exchange, cooking, or community gathering).
Weekends are free for you to explore Bali, join ceremonies, or rest.

Rules

To ensure a respectful and meaningful experience, we ask volunteers to:

Respect Balinese culture, traditions, and local customs (especially in temples and ceremonies).
Be proactive, creative, and open to sharing knowledge with our youth team.
Work responsibly on agreed tasks and communicate any schedule changes in advance.
Dress modestly during community interactions (shoulders and knees covered in villages/temples).
Keep a positive attitude and collaborate respectfully with other volunteers and locals.
No drugs or disruptive behavior during the stay.
