Program Details
Our volunteer program is designed for creative, responsible travelers who want to be part of a running resort business while enjoying the Andamans. You’ll join us for a minimum of 3 weeks, working 32 hours a week across our two stunning properties: Munjoh Ocean Resort (beachfront, Havelock) and Munjoh Island House (heritage, Port Blair).
Your main role is to capture and storytell everyday resort life — nature, food, people, guest experiences — through photography, short videos, and content we’ll use across social media, ads, and brand storytelling. Volunteers also help the team with light cultural exchange activities and join island explorations.
In return, we offer free stay, meals, and a chance to experience life on remote islands. However, since Munjoh is a live hospitality business, professionalism is key: volunteers must be well-presented, punctual, and respectful of guests and staff. Casual behavior, poor dressing, alcohol or substance misuse, or an unprofessional attitude won’t be accepted.
This is more than a work exchange — it’s a chance to live the island life, gain portfolio-worthy content, and leave a mark on how Munjoh shares its story with the world.
Activities & Shift
Your role blends creativity, storytelling, and island life. On a typical day, you may:
Morning (2–3 hrs): Capture sunrise moments, beach life, breakfast setup, and candid staff or guest interactions. Curate 5–10 high-quality photos/videos for social use.
Late Morning (1–2 hrs): Edit and retouch content, draft captions, and upload to our shared drive.
Afternoon (2 hrs): Support the team in guest activities — nature walks, cooking demos, or local excursions — while documenting them for stories/reels.
Evening (1–2 hrs): Photograph golden-hour shots, dinner ambiance, cocktails, and resort life by night.
Weekly Tasks: Create at least 15–20 polished pieces of content (photos, short videos, or stories), brainstorm fresh content ideas with the team, and highlight unique island experiences.
We encourage you to also explore the islands — snorkeling, forest trails, market visits — and capture authentic moments that show Munjoh’s culture and beauty.
Important: Your hours are flexible, but professionalism is key. Be punctual, keep equipment ready, dress presentably, and deliver content on time.
Rules
Munjoh Volunteer Rules
