I couldn't have imagined a better first volunteer experience. I truly felt at home on the other side of the world. The staff and volunteers were like family to me. We spent so much quality time together, shared wonderful moments, and passed on so many stories and knowledge that will stay with me forever. And the place itself? An authentic ryokan, filled with tatami mats and creaky wooden floors that create a wonderful, welcoming, and cozy atmosphere that can't be replicated anywhere else. The tasks are simple, even somehow relaxing. I have found my peace here. Ittekimasu!

I spent two months volunteering at the hostel and it was an amazing experience. The staff are so kind and welcoming that it truly feels like home. The guesthouse itself is beautiful, with its own the hostel, and the area has plenty to explore. If you're looking for a volunteering experience where you'll feel part of a family and won't want to leave, I can't recommend the hostel enough 🫶

Best time ever! The most beautiful building, super clean and good vibes. The work is straightforward and well organized. Ito is so cozy, loved just hanging out. I highly recommend this place as a volunteer/helper. You're really winning the lottery if you get to experience this place. I wish I could stay longer

The hostel Itō the hostel was my first stay out of three in Japan and it already felt like it couldn't get better than that. Everybody was very nice and welcoming and the working atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxed. I met a lot of international travellers and had the chance to visit many of the local restaurants and bars. the hostel itself is a very charming hostel with a beautiful view on the river, especially at night, and a very nice the hostel. All In all I couldn't have asked for a better working holiday experience. I really enjoyed my stay and I'm very thankful to everybody there :)

The hostel in Ito was a lovely place to stay and work for a month. The work is fairly easy - and once you've finished your tasks you genuinely finish your shift for the day, even if this is early! The staff and Yukio are all lovely and welcoming and the hostel is beautiful. Ito itself is a small town, but with plenty to do and is very well connected to the surrounding towns and tourist sites. Would recommend to anyone wanting a slow-paced and relaxed time

I highly recommend the hostel, it was a great experience! All the staff are super friendly and welcoming, and Yukio-san is so lovely! The accommodation is comfortable and the building is beautiful. The hours are reasonable and the tasks are simple. I would love to be able to work here again, it was really fun!

I stayed at the hostel with a friend for about six weeks, and it was a truly amazing experience. The location and the house itself are beautiful. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The work is not very hard and pretty straightforward. The room we stayed in was cozy and relaxing. Yukio-san was very helpful and always open to helping us explore the area. All in all, I had a wonderful time and will miss everyone.

I stayed at the hostel with a friend for six weeks, and what an unforgettable experience it was! The housekeeping work was just as expected simple and manageable. What truly made the stay special was the house itself. The traditional Japanese architecture was beautiful, and I really enjoyed working in such a unique space. The staff were kind and welcoming. A big thank you to Yukio-san, the manager, who made sure we enjoyed our stay. Special thanks to the master aka the God of cleaning! Ito is a peaceful town with great connections along the coast. I had such a great time at the hostel, that I ended up extending my stay there. The work was straight forward, I was amazed by the building and felt grateful to work and clean within it's walls. Yukio san also made sure that we enjoy our time outside work as well, being very flexible with the schedule. Itō has a lot to offer, and I can't wait to be back. ありがとうございます！
