The experience
You will contribute to our agroforestry/permaculture/holistic health centre focusing on "farm to table" living. Daily tasks include seed collection, seedlings, harvesting, composting, animal care, food preservation, joint responsibility of meal preparation, cleaning & maintenance of the project, social media, wood structure construction. Learning opportunities: hands-on experience in regenerative agriculture. Practice yoga, enjoyhealing workshops
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Tent:
You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Intermediate English or Intermediate French
Between 21 and 60 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details
Minimum: 3 weeks duration. 5 hours per day 5 days per week. We expect that you participate in communal activities &events. Respect for fellow volunteers and community members. A basic understanding of English or French and some Portuguese. Volunteers will be responsible for transportation to Quinta do Sol/Enxara. We provide food that will be jointly prepared & free participation in holistic health workshops, including yoga and healing modalities when available. Accommodation: Shared Dorm and communal kitchen

- sweep and mop the floor whenever necessary
- kitchen must be kept tidy, dishes and pots should be washed and stored after use
- empty trash
- permaculture duties such as empty kitchen waste in vermicompost bins, harvest, seed collection when needed, weeding, watering plants
- collecting eggs and moving chicken tractor when necessary
- Tools and materials must be put away after use
Shifts are in the morning from 8am-1pm or from 2pm-7pm

Rules
As this is a shared space we ask for your participation to keep the space safe and clean. Practise self-regulation and accept feedback, together we grow as conscious human beings

- Visitors are welcomed on your off days. No overnight visitors unless with prior permission
