Our time with Franco was great! I learned a lot about plants and did some diy around the house. We cooked together and he showed us many new recipes. Franco was always down to show us new places or made suggestions where we could go and see some more of Sicily and with that have another challenge if we wanted to. The lifestyle is not for everyone since it is very rough, but if you want to challenge yourself, (because that's what we do with Franco - Challenges!💪🏽😊) then it might be a great experience! Thank you Franco and Dumbo, Miaumiau and the other cats for this experience!☺️

My visit to Franco in Sicily was excellent. We learned a lot about local Sicilian culture through his connections with the community. Franco showed us around many places, and the work and hours were organized flexibly, with roles suited to individual abilities. However, the place may not suit everyone, as it's somewhat sporadic and not the most comfortable—though this wasn't an issue for me. I'd recommend it to anyone seeking a unique experience.

The experience was really unique and totally worth it. Franco is an amazing character that tells a lot of jokes and knows a lot about gardening and Sicilian culture. He will make your stay unforgettable! You are living in small self built shads where it can get a bit cold especially during the winter months but Franco has enough blankets to deal with that.

Our stay was amazing! We got along with Franco super well and always felt taken care of. This place is not a 5 star hotel (accommodation-wise), but will absolutely be a 5 star experience if you commit to it. In the end, it felt like a family to us and we look forward to coming back. We cooked and ate together every day, went on trips to see sights and learned a lot from Franco. He's a remarkable person, humorous and caring once you get to know him.

Franco is an amazing host who will help you with anything you may need during your experience, the location is great if you are looking to reconnect with the nature and have an original experience. The experience was based on recycling, living in a natural way, without comfort or technology. We collected and peeled almonds and there was also some gardening and repairing work to do. Unfortunately there was a terrible water shortage and the host didn't told me before coming. I couldn't have basic hygiene, cool off or clean my clothes after working in the field under the sun for hours. Even with all the effort I did (including avoiding using the bathroom) he said I was wasting water and that's why I left earlier than planned. There wasn't laundry, internet, bikes and other things described.

your 2 day stay was wonderful for you, day 1 you turned up at 11.00 to have breakfast, then it was too hot for you so we done some work late afternoon, picking and cleaning almonds which was done in a shady place sitting down, chatting, keeping you phone handy, and in company of your boyfriend. you had a shower 2 times to cool off

day 2 market day so all the morning nothing done, afternoon same as day 1,

as i remeber when we first met i made sure like i do with every one that i told you the rules
no paper down the toilet, put lights out when not in structure, be careful with water because we have a drought.
washing clothes , other have done it, but i imagine you wanted a washing machine, toilet was there for you to use and i made sure it always had water and was kept clean
i ask why didnt your boy friend have all these complaints?
