It was my first time volunteering and the experience was different from what I expected before I came. This because it was close to the têt Holliday and most of the time it was just me, Le Tuan and the animals. However, Le Tuan made this an incredible experience and I had so much fun! He and all his brothers and sisters are incredibly kind and welcoming people and I got some once in a lifetime experiences I will never forget. Would definitely visit again if I'm back in Vietnam <3

I spent a week here and it was an incredible experience getting to be immersed into the local culture. From getting to try delicious Vietnamese food, going to the local markets to understanding the different ethic groups in Vietnam, this was not only a volunteering experience but also a learning experience for me. I felt welcomed from the very beginning by Le Tuan and others at the farm(including the friendliest dogs). Thank you!

Le Tuan was incredibly welcoming and kind from the very beginning. He taught us so much about the local area and the ethnic communities in Vietnam, which gave me a deeper understanding of the country. I learned a lot about Vietnamese culture and cuisine during my stay. The work experience was very manageable and informative. The accommodation was comfortable, the meals were delicious, and the farm—along with the animals—made the experience truly unique and enjoyable.

My experience at Bai Yue Farm was truly amazing. I loved my time there and learned so much about the lodge-making process, the lodge rice wine, and cassava cultivation. Le Tuan is very kind, respectful, and always willing to share his knowledge. The meals were delicious, and the cultural exchange was very rich — I learned a lot about Vietnamese culture and daily life. It was a meaningful and well-organized volunteer experience, and I highly recommend it to other travelers.

I had a great one-week experience on this farm. Tuan and Dat, their family, and friends were incredibly kind and welcoming. I even got to attend a wedding, which was an unforgettable experience. I learned so much about Vietnamese culture, food, and daily life. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants an authentic, warm, and cultural experience.

I had the most amazing time at the lodge! Tuan & Dat were great hosts: I stayed in my own comfortable small house at the farm, they introduced me to almost every Vietnamese dish and fruit and to all their friends, neighbours and family. I got to know the culture, the food, and daily life in Vietnam better here than anywhere else during my trip! We made the lodge, I helped at the farm with planting and cooking , learned English with the local children, we sang a lot of karaoke and played fun board games. We also went to the museum of ethnic groups in Vietnam! 100% recommend!

I stayed in the lodge one week and really enjoyed the time. I got to know how life is in a small village and what tasks there are at the everyday life in a farm. There was always something new to discover and to do. I even made my own the lodge step by step. I also had a lot of free time, where I played pingpong. Tuan and Dat were great host. We had a lot of fun together. For example at playing cards, learning some Vietnamese words or helping in the garden. It was no problem that I'am vegetarian, because they always cooked freshly and I got to know a lot of Vietnamese food.

We spent a wonderful week at the lodge!! We learned a lot about the lodge, different vegetables and fruits, rice wine and rice yeast, and about the spiritual rituals of the region. We felt very welcome and well looked after right from the start. Playing and laughing together was such a joy!

An unforgettable and truly authentic experience at the lodge. Tuan welcomed us like family and introduced us to real rural life: picking and fermenting the lodge, learning how the lodge-rice wine is made (with tastings!), helping local kids with English, and joining beautiful lunar traditions at local temples. Village life was peaceful, the dogs were the sweetest, and people were incredibly warm and helpful. If you are looking for an authentic, grounding, culturally rich experience rather than a typical “task-based volunteer job,” this is the place. I cannot recommend it enough.

Our time with Tuan, Dat & the Baiyue team was sincerely incredible. They are lovely people and we were made to feel so incredibly welcomed. We were looked after and truly cared for, and would return in a heartbeat. It was clean, friendly and welcoming with comfortable lodging including private bathroom, hot water and delicious meals. The friends and family we met were kind and warm hearted and we shared many meals, cups of the lodge and more together! The work was rewarding, and balanced with excursions to local markets and museums. We are so happy to have had the opportunity to visit!
