The experience

We’re a hostel in León, Nicaragua, started in 2017 by Wouter & Sophie. Now with 2 hostels (68 guests total), we offer a lively social vibe and a more tranquilo space with work areas at our son hostel Poco a poco Junior. Our 100% local team has become family, and we’re looking for a volunteer to help bridge the language gap and connect guests with locals for an authentic Nica experience!

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Under 35 years old

Program Details

We love our volunteers! 💛 You’ll be the heart of our social vibe – inviting guests, spreading the word, and keeping the energy alive. From Taco Night 🌮 and Cocktail Night 🍹 to Salsa 💃, BBQs, Beach Days 🏖️, Movie Nights 🎬 and Trivia 🤓 – you’ll host or join the fun, helping guests connect and feel at home while sharing the local culture
