Join a community project in Hà Giang supporting Easy Riders to improve English for guiding travelers.
Your role:
Practice conversational English with riders.
Support small group learning (phrases, pronunciation, travel topics).
Create simple games/materials.

What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

European Union Passport

United States visa or citizenship

Program Details

Your days:

Morning: free to explore Ha Giang or work on personal projects.

Afternoon: teach up to 2 English sessions (time may vary depending on students’ needs). The rest of the time is for lesson prep, relaxing, or joining local activities.

Evening: cultural exchange, dinner, sometimes short rides with Easy Riders.

Weekend: 2 free days to explore further destinations (we support with motorbike & travel tips).

Long-term stay (2+ months): you’ll experience the Ha Giang Loop for free at a suitable time, and we ask for feedback and reflections to support our local partners.

Rules

Rules for Volunteers in Ha Giang

1. Respect local culture, customs, and community lifestyle.

2. English is the main teaching language – be patient and supportive with learners.

3. No drugs or excessive alcohol during your stay.

4. Keep shared spaces clean and help with small community tasks.

5. Be punctual and flexible with class schedules (adjusted to students’ needs).

6. Use motorbikes safely (international license + helmet required).

7. Share photos/videos only with consent from locals, especially children.

8. We may use your photos/videos for community activities and sustainable tourism promotion.

9. Volunteers are encouraged to provide written feedback for local partners offering free services in Ha Giang (optional but highly appreciated).

10. Minimum stay: 4 weeks. Longer stays (3 months) include Ha Giang Loop experience.
