The experience

We’re looking for a friendly, responsible traveler to help us welcome guests to our Airbnb apartments in Pinheiros, one of São Paulo’s most vibrant and creative neighborhoods. While you’ll sleep at our cozy hostel nearby, your main role will be to meet and greet guests at the apartment building, making sure they feel at home from the moment they arrive.

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent Portuguese or Intermediate English

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

What you’ll do:

Welcome guests at the apartment building when they arrive

Hand over the keys and show them how everything works in the unit

Provide a warm first impression, answer simple questions, and offer basic neighborhood recommendations

Stay in touch with our team by phone or WhatsApp in case any issue comes up

Make sure guests check in smoothly and feel supported during their stay

What we’re looking for:

A responsible and organized person who respects schedules

Someone who enjoys social interaction and can communicate well (basic English or Portuguese is enough!)

A traveler with a positive attitude and willingness to help

No previous hospitality experience required — just be friendly, reliable, and willing to learn

Unlike a typical volunteer role, you won’t be stuck inside doing chores all day. Instead, you’ll have the freedom to explore São Paulo while helping us only when guests are scheduled to arrive. Our apartments are modern and safe, and you’ll get to know one of the coolest neighborhoods in the city — full of cafés, bars, art galleries, and amazing nightlife.
