The experience

We’re looking for a kind volunteer in Shkodër, Albania to help during Sept/Oct while my wife is away on cycling tours 🚴‍♀️. Duties include preparing/serving simple breakfast & lunch 🍳🥗, keeping the kitchen tidy 🧹, and maintaining the apartment. We also host Warmshowers guests 🚿🚴, so you’d show them around when they arrive after 4pm. Afternoons/evenings are yours to explore if no new guests are scheduled 🌄.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Spanish

Between 22 and 60 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

When my wife is traveling, due to physical limitations, I can not stand or walk without a walker. I need someone to prepare and serve meals and maintain light cleanup of the apartment (we have a Roomba, which should help).

Rules

Susan and I are quite liberal. Smoking is allowed outside. Evenings, after dinner cleanup, is yours to choose. I like to eat around 5:00pm.
