Are you ready to make a real impact? π‘ This community project empowers vulnerable families with the skills and tools they need to start and maintain small businesses. A key part of our mission is teaching English, opening doors to new opportunities and connecting our youth with the world. πβ¨
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Elderly Care:
Assisting and spending time with the elderly.
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Description:
We kindly ask for a contribution of 20 USD per week π. This helps us cover food, local transportation (fuel), and materials needed for the activities. Your support ensures the project can run smoothly while creating a positive impact for the families we work with π.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely
Requirements
Fluent English or Intermediate Portuguese
Under 60 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
We are a grassroots initiative supporting low-income families and youth in disadvantaged neighborhoods of Maputo Province. Many young people dream of learning English but cannot afford formal schools. By joining us, youβll be part of a movement that promotes education, entrepreneurship, and hope for a better future. π±πͺ
This is more than volunteering β itβs cultural immersion, meaningful exchange, and an opportunity to touch lives while learning from the resilience and creativity of the local community.
Activities & Shift
π Teach basic or conversational English to children, youth, and adults
π‘ Support workshops for small business creation & income generation
π€ Mentor and encourage families to develop their own projects
π οΈ Assist in community events or organizational tasks when needed
Schedule: Volunteers usually help from 9:00β12:00 or 14:00β16:00. Weekends are free to explore Maputoβs vibrant culture, food, and music. πΆπ
