What you offer
10 hours of help per week
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.
What you get
3 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:

Program Details
Program Title:* Care Champion Volunteer Course
*Program Overview:*
The Care Champion Volunteer course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide emotional support and care to vulnerable children and women affected by HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence. This comprehensive program will empower volunteers to make a positive impact in their community, promoting health, education, and empowerment.
*Program Objectives:*
- Equip volunteers with a deep understanding of HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence, including their causes, consequences, and prevention strategies.
- Develop volunteers' skills in providing emotional support and care to vulnerable individuals and families.
- Foster a sense of community and teamwork among volunteers, promoting collaboration and mutual support.
- Empower volunteers to become advocates for positive change in their community, promoting health, education, and social welfare.

*Program Outcomes:*
Upon completion of the Care Champion Volunteer course, participants will:

Activities & Shift
*Daily Activities:*
As a Care Champion Volunteer, your daily activities may include:
1. *Client Support:*
- Provide emotional support and care to vulnerable children and women affected by HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence.
- Listen to clients' concerns, offer words of encouragement, and help them develop coping strategies.
- Assist clients in accessing essential services, such as healthcare, education, and social welfare.
2. *Community Outreach:*
- Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence.
- Engage with community members, leaders, and organizations to promote the foundation's mission and services.
- Distribute educational materials and resources to community members.
3. *Program Support:*
- Assist in planning and implementing programs, events, and activities that promote health, education, and empowerment.
- Help coordinate logistics, setup, and facilitation of programs.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and provide feedback for improvement.
4. *Administration:*
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, program activities, and community outreach efforts.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Help with communication, correspondence, and reporting.
5. *Team Collaboration:*
- Work closely with the program team, including other volunteers, staff, and management.
- Participate in team meetings, sharing updates, and discussing challenges and successes.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as healthcare, education, and social welfare, to ensure comprehensive support.
*Shifts:*
As a Care Champion Volunteer, you may be assigned to various shifts, including:
1. *Morning Shifts:* 8am-12pm (supporting clients, administrative tasks)
2. *Afternoon Shifts:* 1pm-4pm (c

- Refrain from sharing sensitive information with unauthorized individuals.

- Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with clients, colleagues, and community members.

- Establish and maintain healthy boundaries with clients, avoiding dual relationships or conflicts of interest.

- Use clear, concise language, avoiding jargon or technical terms that may confuse others.
*Documentation:*
- Accurately document client interactions, program activities, and community outreach efforts.

*Attendance and Punctuality:*
- Attend scheduled shifts, meetings, and training sessions punctually.
- Notify the team in advance of any absences or tardiness.
