The experience

The Aina Refuge, a shelter for orphans and homeless children located in Antetezambaro, Madagascar, is seeking volunteers to carry out building maintenance work: painting, electrical work, fencing, renewable energy, etc.
We are seeking volunteers who can help us carry out maintenance work on the ageing building and who can train the staff on site.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Beginner French or Beginner English

Between 18 and 60 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
