Jaba Jan is truly a magical place 🤩 in 3 words: comunidad, naturaleza y amor. This was my first volunteering and I couldn't have had a better one. The hosts are wonderful people who made me feel at home, the place is fused with the sacred nature around, everyone contributes to a nice atmosphere and you really get the chance to rediscover yourself. There are tons of activities, there's always nice people whom you can laugh with, practice your Spanish and open your heart to. Jaba Jan siempre tendrá un lugar special en mi corazón. Hasta pronto mi familia en Colombia ❤️🥹 te extraño mucho

My experience with Worldpackers in the hostel was absolutely amazing. I met incredible people who quickly became friends, and the atmosphere made me feel at home from day one. The host was extremely kind, supportive, and always available when I needed anything — truly someone who cares about volunteers and creates a welcoming environment. I'm really grateful for this experience. It's the kind that stays with you, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for connection, growth, and unforgettable memories.

Myself and a friend volunteered at Jaba Jan for two weeks - and it has ended up being a highlight of my time in Colombia!! The location and hostel is gorgeous, the staff are beyond friendly and kind, and the other volunteers and guests became genuine friends. We were happy to help out every shift and the atmosphere was ideal for both individual time to wind down as well as to socialise. Would strongly, strongly recommend for any backpackers wanting an enjoyable and chill volunteering experience.

Me encantó el lugar, las instalaciones son super lindas, además de que tienen al lado un rio asombroso para bañarse y nadar un rato. Pedro y Dean son excelentes personas, muy amables, diligentes y comprensivos. Por otro lado todas las personas que hacen parte del hostel también son increíbles. Ame la experiencia, volvería muchas veces🌺

¿Qué puedo decir del hostel? Es un lugar único, lleno de naturaleza entre el río y el mar, pasando por los manglares. La gente es increíble y te hace sentir parte de una gran familia desde el primer momento. Pedro y Herman son unos cracks. Yo, personalmente, mejoré mucho mi español hablando con la gente de ahí, incluso trabajando con ellos. Este sitio es un oasis que recomiendo a todo el mundo. Gracias por tu buena vibra, el hostel 😌 ¡Nos veremos por el mundo!

Minha experiência no Jaba Jan foi incrível! As tarefas eram simples e as instruções eram claras. Os horários eram respeitados e havia flexibilidade, caso necessário. A equipe do hostel e os outros voluntários me fizeram sentir em casa. Pedro e sua esposa Laura são extremamente acolhedores, o ambiente do hostel é incrível, ótimo para relaxar e se conectar com a natureza!

Uno de los mejores hostales que he estado. Staff muy simpático e integrador, con Pedro, el dueño, me llevo un amigo. Horarios bien organizados y con opción de flexibilidad. Entorno de naturaleza espectacular, playas, manglar, rio, surf, buena gente, buena comida, y precio barato, no se puede pedir más. Voy a repetir si paso de nuevo por palomino.
