Program Details
Volunteer week at YHA is a program ran across all the hostels in our network, aimed at providing an opportunity for a group of individuals to bond together and foster core memories from their experience working together in a project organised at the hostels.
Activities & Shift
Our volunteer week in Canterbury is going to be organised around mostly painting and decorating our older, less recently renovated rooms that could do with some work to get them back to looking their best! Shifts will typically be around 6 hours long, finishing in the early afternoon. After that time you will be able to go out, either as a group or by yourself, and explore the amazing places Canterbury has to offer!
Rules
We have very few rules for our volunteers when they stay with us. Smoking is allowed outside of the building, however no drugs are allowed on premises at any time, and as a licensed venue we don't allow externally bought alcohol to be consumed on site. But above all else, we just ask that everyone treats other with the respect and kindness that they deserve!
