What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 5 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: We maintain a comfortable, minimalist lifestyle. We kindly request a fee of $5 USD per day for your stay. We require a minimum stay of one month (30 nights), totaling $150 USD. This fee covers your food, accommodation, and general maintenance during your time with us.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English or Intermediate Hindi

Over 18 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

You’ll be welcomed into a family in Damak who live close to nature, guided by traditions, spirituality, and sustainability.

👨‍🌾 Dad – A Buddhist & Hindu priest, farmer, and herbalist.
👩‍🍳 Mom & Aunt – Skilled farmers and amazing cooks who love sharing Nepali food 🍲.
👨‍🏫 Older Son – A visionary building a non-profit connecting nature & technology.
🏞️ Life here flows with the sun, moon, and seasons, not with a clock.

Every day is different — sometimes you’ll help in the fields, other times in the kitchen, or simply join meditation and local rituals.

Activities & Shift

There is no fixed schedule. You are free to choose how you want to contribute and learn. Possible activities include:

🧘 Learning/teaching yoga, meditation, or Ayurveda practices
🏡 Assisting in community workshops or cultural exchange
🎨 Sharing creative skills like photography, art, or storytelling
