Expand Our Garden & Build a New Edible Orchard in Vieques🌱


The experience

We are a creative restaurant and art space in Vieques, surrounded by lush nature 🌴. We’re looking for volunteers to help us expand our existing garden and create an edible orchard from scratch — growing herbs, vegetables, and fruit trees for our kitchen. This is a chance to get your hands in the soil, connect with the land, and contribute to a sustainable food project that directly nourishes our guests.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Description: Volunteers contribute 10 per day to help with food and maintenance expenses


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Beginner Spanish or Beginner English

Over 21 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

This is a farm-to-table initiative where food, art, and nature come together 🌿. Our goal is to produce fresh herbs, vegetables, and fruits that will inspire dishes in our kitchen while promoting sustainability and creativity.


Activities & Shift

-Maintain and expand our garden.
-Design and develop a new orchard and vegetable plots.
-Soil preparation, planting, watering, pruning, harvesting, and composting.
-Collaborate with the kitchen team to integrate fresh produce into our menu.

⏰ Work takes place in the cool mornings or late afternoons. Volunteers share meals together 🍲, and afternoons are often free to enjoy the beach 🏖️, hiking, or community events.

Commitment: 25 hours per week | 2 days off
