Farm Experience in the Heart of the Azores

The experience

Join us on our farm in the capital of the Azores, where the ocean is never far away. We need help with gardening, caring for our chickens, basic farm tasks, construction projects, and creating an agroforestry system. You’ll assist with pruning trees, cleaning, moving plants, and tending to our vegetable garden. I’m passionate about surfing and craft my own surfboards — so if you love the ocean, this is the perfect place to work, learn, and share.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

What you get

2 days off per week

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate Portuguese or Intermediate English

Over 20 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

I will offer a tent for up to 3 people, along with breakfast and lunch (served at 4 p.m.). We don’t provide dinner, but you’re welcome to cook for yourself if you wish.
