The experience


Love taking photos, creating content, and sharing stories online? Join us at Urban Hotel The Golden Stork in Rijswijk (just minutes from The Hague) and help us show the world what makes our hotel and restaurant special. We’re looking for a creative traveler to help with social media, photography, and simple marketing tasks.

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Program Details

At Urban Hotel The Golden Stork and our in-house restaurant Petals & Pals, we want the world to see our energy, style, and community. That’s where you come in! As a Marketing & Social Media Assistant, you’ll help capture moments, create engaging content, and share them across our online channels.

Your days might include taking photos of guests enjoying breakfast, filming a behind-the-scenes reel in the kitchen, or designing a post about our latest event. You’ll work closely with our team but also have the freedom to bring your own creative ideas.

We ask for 25 hours per week, usually over 4–5 days, leaving you plenty of time to explore The Hague and beyond. If you love photography, content creation, and storytelling — this is your chance to grow your portfolio while enjoying a unique cultural exchange.


Activities & Shift

Your tasks will vary, but may include:

Photographing the hotel, restaurant, and events

Filming short videos for Instagram/TikTok

Editing photos and videos (phone or laptop)

Writing captions and posting content on social media

Engaging with followers in comments or DMs

Updating our content calendar with new ideas

Organizing the photo/video library

Helping promote upcoming events and offers

We keep this role flexible to match creative flow and good lighting for photos:

Daytime Content Shift (10:00 – 15:00) – Capture breakfast service, team shots, and daylight photos around the property

Event/Evening Shift (varies) – When we have events or busy restaurant nights, capture atmosphere and guest interactions

Editing/Planning Shift – Work from the hotel, editing content and scheduling posts

Your schedule will be planned in advance, balancing structured work with flexibility for creative moments.


Rules

Respect the privacy of guests — always ask before taking identifiable photos

Keep our brand style and tone in mind when posting

Be on time for planned shoots or meetings

No drugs or excessive alcohol during your stay

Keep your work organized so the team can use your content easily

Minimum stay is 4 weeks

No outside guests allowed in the staff dorm

Bring your own camera or phone with good photo quality (editing software is a plus)
