The experience

Lead engaging lessons in basic computer skills and creative arts for children and youth at BHCT. Teach typing, software use, and online safety alongside drawing, painting, and crafts. Inspire creativity and digital literacy to prepare students for future opportunities. Encourage participation, guide projects, and help learners build confidence in both technology and art.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Music: Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 8 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: At Bring Hope for Children Tanzania, we aim to make volunteering accessible and impactful. While most of our services are offered freely, we kindly ask volunteers to contribute a small additional fee. What you get

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Swahili

Between 18 and 65 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

The Computer Skills & Creative Arts Program equips children and youth with essential digital literacy and creative abilities. Participants learn basic computer operations, typing, software use, and safe internet practices, while also exploring creative arts such as drawing, painting, and crafts. The program fosters problem-solving, creativity, and confidence to prepare learners for educational and career opportunities.


Activities & Shift

Main Responsibilities:
Computer Instruction – Teach typing, word processing, and basic software.
Digital Skills – Introduce internet safety, simple coding, and digital creativity tools.
Arts Education – Lead lessons in drawing, painting, and crafts.
Project Guidance – Support students in combining technology and art in creative projects.
Classroom Management – Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Documentation – Keep records of attendance, student progress, and completed projects.
