The experience

Come be part of something truly life-changing 🌍💛. In the heart of Turkana, our community-based school is dedicated to giving vulnerable and underprivileged children a chance at a brighter future 📚✨. With the number of learners growing every day, we urgently need two additional temporary classrooms so every child has a safe, welcoming space to learn and dream.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: The $10 daily fee covers your breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as cleaning services and comfortable accommodation during your stay.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 70 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

As a volunteer, you won’t just be helping build classrooms — you’ll be building hope 💪🏽🌱. You’ll connect with our amazing students, share stories, learn about the vibrant Turkana culture, and create unforgettable memories together.


We welcome volunteers with open arms and warm smiles 🤗🌞. Your journey here will be a blend of supporting fundraising for the classrooms and getting involved in the daily life of the school. You’ll:

-Play, dance, and create art with our learners 🎨🎶
-Assist teachers during lessons and fun extracurricular activities
-Join cultural exchanges, cook delicious local meals 🍲, and explore the beauty of Turkana with our guidance

Activities & Shift

Schedule: Monday to Friday, around 4 hours/day, with 2 days off 🗓️

Morning or afternoon shifts depending on activities

Break times for games, chats, and shared laughter with the children
