The experience

I don't live at the place you'll be staying. But, you are welcome to visit and stay at my other place, which we will be doing some work at in the suburb Surrey City, a relatively short distance from Vancouver.

I am very active and like to enjoy the outdoors when I am not busy.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Chinese

Between 21 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

European Union Passport

United States visa or citizenship

Rules

No other guests allowed.
No smoking, no drugs, and no drinking.
No excessively loud music or TV, as there are multiple units in the building.
No oily, greasy, or smelly cooking.
