What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

Program Details

At our top-rated hostel in Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro, we’re looking for a bartender who’s more than just someone serving drinks: a fun, creative, and responsible person who adds to the guest experience. You’ll work 5 shifts per week, 5 hours each (6 PM to 11 PM), being the heart of the bar and an ambassador of the city — recommending nightlife spots, cultural activities, and outdoor adventures. Your mission is to create a welcoming atmosphere, connect people from all over the world, and support the team in keeping things calm and organized when needed. We want someone who blends energy and charisma with commitment and organization.

Activities & Shift

Prepare and serve drinks according to the hostel’s menu.

Recommend nightlife spots, cultural events, and outdoor activities in Rio.

Encourage guest interaction and create a friendly, welcoming environment.

Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked.

Handle payments and monitor basic stock levels.

Support the team during events or operational needs.

Help maintain a calmer atmosphere when required.

Be proactive in solving small issues and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Shifts: 5 shifts per week, 5 hours each — from 6 PM to 11 PM.

Rules

Strict punctuality — shifts start at 6 PM and end at 11 PM.

No alcohol consumption during working hours.

Maintain a professional attitude, even during lively moments.

Respect hostel policies and house rules.

Use bar resources and supplies responsibly.

Protect the image and reputation of the hostel with guests and visitors.
