The experience

Are you passionate about storytelling, photography, and making a real impact? Come join Support Youth Initiative (SYI) in Kenya and help us shine a light on our incredible community work through creative content!
SYI is a grassroots, youth-led NGO based in Kenya, working to empower young people and underserved communities through education, health, and sustainable development.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 15 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner English

Between 20 and 60 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

As a content creator and photographer/videographer, you’ll work closely with our local team to:

📸 Take high-quality photos and videos of our community projects, workshops, and everyday life
✍️ Write blog posts, captions, or short stories that reflect the heart of our mission
📱 Help manage or provide content for our social media platforms and website
🌍 Share our story with the world to increase awareness and support
