What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate French

Between 18 and 65 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

At Brighton English School, we welcome volunteers who support our students in practicing English through conversation, cultural exchange, and classroom interaction. Our goal is to create a warm, collaborative environment where both students and volunteers learn from each other. You don’t need to be a teacher—just bring a positive attitude, willingness to connect, and an interest in sharing your language and culture.


Activities & Shift

Volunteers help Monday to Friday, around 4 hours per day, either in the morning or afternoon depending on class schedules. Activities may include:

Assisting in speaking classes

Leading or joining group discussions

Participating in games, cultural presentations, or student projects

Occasionally joining school-organized outings (optional)

Weekends are free, giving you time to explore Manta and the Ecuadorian coast.


Rules

Be punctual and respectful to both staff and students.

Maintain a positive and open attitude.

Please avoid using your phone during class time.

Let us know in advance if you can’t attend an activity.

Help keep the classroom space clean and organized.
