The experience

Hi, I was born in 1963 and live with my mother, who was born in 1933. She's very kind, slow, and curious about meeting people from all over the world.
She speaks English and French, studied pedagogy, and loves to travel. Together, we often go to India, where I work on social projects for families, women, children, and artisans living in rural areas.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate Spanish or Intermediate English

Between 25 and 50 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Around 5 hours per day for 5 days to be agreed upon, involving office tasks (accounting and administration), house cleaning, helping in the kitchen, spending time with the grandmother, garden maintenance, or other small repair and sewing tasks

Activities & Shift

If you enjoy using the sewing machine, let me know; it'll be a fun opportunity to get out lots of sewing supplies.

If you enjoy organizing stationery and household items, let me know; it'll be a great opportunity to pull out paints, pens, markers, and many other items from drawers...

If you can help me reorganize my computer archive of documents, photos, etc., let me know; I'd be happy to help...

If you're good at Excel, I'd be happy to help.

If you enjoy spending time with Grandma, showing her photos and listening to music, let me know; we'll get organized.

If you enjoy cooking for yourself and us, let me know; we'll make it one of the activities you offer.

Rules

Do not smoke inside the house and do not invite guests over unless previously agreed.

Agree on bathroom usage schedules, giving priority to Airbnb guests.

Dress respectfully toward us and the condominium; we do not appreciate revealing clothing such as low-cut tops, very short outfits, miniskirts, etc.
