Collaborating with Sandrine and the entire team was an amazing experience. I had the chance to participate in various activities, including helping with social media posts. The different hostels provided the perfect opportunity to create something new, as your ideas were discussed and brought to life with Sandrine's guidance. Additionally, there was a chance to assist in other daily activities such as cooking and reception.

I had a very fun time here! If you like participating to different project and tasks, you will love it. They have different properties so take initiatives to make the most of your stay. The host is very nice and caring, with events to know Lao culture. I gave 4 stars bc the communication with the host could be improved - it truly went better at the end of mine. Don't hesitate to prefer meeting or calling, it always helps! Organisation is mentioned in other comments but we improved it for the next volunteers and it should truly be good now. Everything should run smoothly for your arrival !

Despite looking frailty, Agather radiates warmth, creativity, and a vibrant spirit. She's exceptionally organized and has a clear vision of what she wants, which made collaborating with her an absolute pleasure. I would be more than happy to welcome her back anytime.
Warm thank for TTP management

Being a volunteer at the TTP Hostel was fun ! The part that i loved the most was that they is always a lot of volunteers with you so you got to speak to a lot of people ! Sandrine is a really fun host with such a funny personality! For the tasks I was at the reception, there is not so much to do but was there at the low season so I think it's for that. :)

There was poor communication from the start—I arrived without clear instructions and was sent to another city the next day. The host expected professional interior design when I had applied for art and painting. Tasks were often unclear, tools were limited, and basic needs like food, water, and wifi weren't reliably provided. Safety felt like an afterthought, especially as a solo female traveler in a remote area. While the countryside was beautiful and I met some great volunteers, the overall experience was stressful and disorganized.

I provided a briefing, and you were informed of my travel due to health reasons. After returning, we had a nice party, and you found Love to remain polite with another volunteer. In VV, a high-end resort, you completed minimal painting and prioritized your lover time. the schedule you accommodate for you both. We sent feedback regarding the disorganized space and concerns about focus. While you're a nice person, this time your personal relationships took you away from the volunteer project.

The experience was not at all what I expected. On arrival there were no instruction on what to do or when to start working because the front of the house is run entirely by volunteers who also don't know what they are doing. The host didn't message me until a while after so you just figure it all out yourself. That don't have an actual receptionist so they take advantage of volunteers to work ridiculously inconsistent hours which means they don't have to pay for an actual receptionist. From the first day I wanted to leave early and another volunteer did just 3 days into the experience.

It's understandable that the experience didn’t meet expectations, and there’s always room for improvement. However, it’s important to acknowledge that the situation was impacted by the schedule changes you made, which created some disruption. Volunteers, in fact, cost more than local staff, so this isn’t about saving money but rather about creating a different type of structure. Before making assumptions...
Wishing best !

I was helping at TTP with reception. It was a bit unorganized and responsibilities weren't laid out until my fifth day. Shifts are 4 hours. We have breakfast and staff lunch everyday and there's many other volunteers to connect with. I was sick for most of my stay but everyone was understanding. Thank you

Vientiane is a really cute city. Perfect for you if you just want to get some rest. There's not sooo much to do here but still enough! The team was really cute, and Sandrine used to invite us to her home where we all cooked together as a team, which was mostly really fun. The reason I don't give all stars is because often it was really unorganised and there were moments where I wasn't agreeing with the host and it was not so nice. Still a good volunteering position, txt me if you have any questions :)

Volunteering at the hostel in Vientiane was amazing! Working at reception allowed me to meet incredible people from all over the world, especially backpackers with fascinating stories. The other volunteers were fantastic, and we had a great time together. The hostel's friendly vibe made it a truly memorable experience.

This has been a life changing experience for me. Sandrine is really understanding, patient and a great mentor. She is a wonderful host no doubt. I did a bit of gardening with TTP, but was mostly looking after media and guest activities. These experiences helped me to immerse with locals and foreigners at the same time. TTP provides an amazing stay too. I would highly recommend this place to choose for volunteering as well as staying as a guest. Thank you... I miss my time at TTP... Words limited... Love unlimited...
