I was actually based in Koh Dach, teaching English, and was helping out the photography department on the side. What a learning experience this was! Although it was hard at times, with long hours and poor living conditions, it was really rewarding at the end of the day especially when you can see the impact on the children and their learning. My photography and editing skills also improved a lot by the end of my stay. Overall, this opportunity taught me a lot about Cambodian culture and everyday life.

Our stay at the organization on Koh Dach Island was definitely a culture shock. As stated the living conditions are not the best but you should be going into this expecting that. The people are lovely and the students make everything worth it. You will be spending a great deal of your time teaching, and as you are on an island so you can only explore the city on the weekends. However, if you are ready to get stuck in and commit yourself to a good cause, then this is a good place for you.

This was a great experience, the team I worked with were great and the host was welcoming and accommodating. It was office work, no frills but the hours were fair and allowed me plenty of free time to explore and also the opportunities during my work hours for small breaks. I ended up doing work a little different to what I'd signed up for (at no fault of the host's and I was happy to do so) - so you might end up doing something a little different. The accommodation was simple but nice, and three meals a day that were always reliable and yummy. It was an excellent experience overall!

I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering with the organization as part of the office team. Being able to utilise business skills that I have acquired in my studies and apply it in a southeast Asian context has been a really unique experience and has definitely led to personal development. I have been able to meet some amazing people and also had fun exploring around Kampot during my free time, it is an amazing place!

We met with Tabitha on a video call initially who explained further about the opportunities that the organization has in Cambodia. My partner and I went to Kampot province and stayed in their centre, a short ride out of the town itself. It was a marvellous way to see rural Cambodian life and live more simply for several weeks. It has truly made my time in Cambodia so special. We helped at the centre in several ways, teaching the kids, the teenage trainees, painting one of the walls. Those who run the centre are kind, patient and a pleasure to be around, and I shall never forget the lovely kids!

It has been such an immersive experience into the local lifestyle and culture. I do really recommend it. My task was about painting an art mural in one of the school's walls. I had the freedom of painting the idea I had after agreeing some points. I really enjoyed it.

I had such a fun time donating my time and effort to creating a mural for the organization Cambodia. The organization is truly inspiring and I learned so much from volunteering here. The accommodation was very basic, as mentioned, but I will say that mural painting was a little challenging in the conditions. It was very hot, na/C, and the food is all traditional Cambodian, but if you can tough it out, there is plenty of wall space and opportunity to let your creativity flow.

Working with the organization was a fascinating experience. Peter does an excellent job of providing volunteers with meaningful work, contributing to the organisation's functioning. It is a privilege to be invited into the school's daily life, from meals to prayers in the evening. The school is well positioned to explore Phnom Penh at the weekends and the surrounding area is great fun to wonder around (especially the magnificent views of the Mekong at sunrise or sunset!)
