The experience

Are you a social soul who loves bringing people together?
Join us as an international volunteer and help create a warm, inclusive vibe through fun and meaningful activities! From hikes, games, and quizzes to city walks, BBQs, waffle baking, and music sessions – you’ll connect with travelers from around the world, share stories over coffee and cookies, and create unforgettable moments – all in the spirit of cultural exchange.


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Music: Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.

Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Fluent English

Between 20 and 30 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

As a volunteer, you’ll spend about 30 hours a week creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere at the hostel. You’ll lead activities like Coffee & Cookies meetups, hikes, games, and cultural nights - helping guests from around the world connect and share stories.
You’ll also promote events by chatting with guests, and if you’re into it, contribute photos and social media content.
Most importantly, you’ll be a friendly presence in the common areas, turning the hostel into a home away from home.
We’ll support you every step of the way, making sure you have the tools and freedom to make the experience unforgettable - for both you and our guests!


Activities & Shift

What You’ll Do (30 hrs/week)

- Host Coffee & Cookies sessions 2–3 times a week - welcome guests, share the
week’s activities, and spark great conversations.

- Lead hikes and walks in the beautiful nature nearby, with Grefsenkollen just
a short stroll away.

- Plan and run fun, inclusive activities like games, quizzes, cultural nights, and
more.

- Help with photography and social media content (optional)

- Promote events and encourage guests to join through friendly, engaging
chats.

- Be a warm, welcoming presence in the common areas, creating a lively and
social atmosphere.

2. Get Involved: Lead activities with enthusiasm and make sure everyone feels
included and welcome.

3. Be Reliable: Show up ready to host, hike, and hype the events - our guests
count on you!

4. Be a Team Player: Help out your fellow volunteers and staff to keep things
running smoothly.

5. Have Fun! This is all about making great memories - your enthusiasm makes
it unforgettable.
