The experience

I need help getting my rural Hawke’s Bay retreat ready for sale. It’s a peaceful spot with lovely views, private downstairs area. Tasks: mainly gardening (weather permitting), general upkeep and decorating. You’ll have a comfy private room, with shared kitchen/living room, flexible hours, plenty of good times: BBQs, bonfires, stargazing, and exploring the area. If you enjoy outdoors, hands-on work and good company, I’d love to hear from you.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

Easy tasks, mostly outdoors in exchange for accommodation and shared meals. Also some decorating and general upkeep.

Activities & Shift

Very flexible and weather depending. With plenty of trips to town for supplies and walks in the park. We tend to take it lightly and enjoy a good time, well balanced work / freetime.
