Experience the authentic Italian lifestyle at a farmhouse stay in Reggio Emilia, Italy

The experience

My name is Gino (66) I live in a farmhouse just outside Reggio Emilia in Italy (approximately 5 km from the city centre). The accommodation is lovely and rustic and there is plenty of garden space for you to roam freely.
I lived and worked in the UK for 22 years mainly as flight instructor so I am well travelled and have a good understanding of other travellers requirements.

Program Details

I have just put my house up for sale and need someone helping in the upkeep of the inside and the garden outside. I like natural food and I’d be particularly interested in learning about medicinal and edible wild plants to introduce in the diet. I am not vegetarian but trying to limit eating meat for respect of animals. I would prefer a mature person to make the experience more compatible.

Activities & Shift

I can provide a bike but the bus stop is also just at walking distance from the farmhouse to get to Reggio Emilia and eventually get on the train to visit other parts of Italy. The farmhouse is located around 2.5 hours train journey from Venice, Cinqueterre & Florence but there are also some very beautiful places closer like Bologna & Modena.
