We are Sandra (from Asturias), Jono (from the UK), and our three adventurous boys! We live in the pristine green mountains of northern Spain, surrounded by wildlife and fresh air. 🦅🌿

We offer 2 different volunteering opportunities — choose the one that best suits your vibe! ✨

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

Option 1: 🏡 Help at Our Little Mountain Restaurant (El Tozu)
📍 Tozu village - 5 km from our house

We run a cozy 5-table country restaurant nestled in the mountains, and we’re looking for help with:

🔹 Playing and supporting our lovely 6-year-old boy 👦 (he's full of energy and improving with his little tantrums)
🔹 Cleaning, tidying, general maintenance 🧹🛠️
🔹 Peeling hazelnuts? Yes! 🌰
🔹 Helping with an old house renovation (very old house: holes, spiders, but also a piano, fireplace, kitchen & electricity!) 🕸️🔥🎹

🛏️ Accommodation: Private room in an apartment above the bar.
🍽️ Food: Meals at the bar when we’re around, or groceries provided for you to cook your own food in the apartment kitchen.
📆 Low season: Bar is usually closed Mon–Wed.
🚗 Note: Tozu is 5km up/down mountain from our house.


Option 2: 🏕️ Off-grid Mountain Life & Eco-Restoration
📍 Our very isolated home – 4x4 needed!

Want a wild, off-grid experience? We're restoring an old stone house and growing an organic veggie garden! 🌿🪨🍅

We need help with tasks like:

🔧 Rebuilding dry stone walls
🌾 Weeding, digging, planting, watering
🌱 Expanding the garden
🪚 Managing firewood, stream clearing, chainsawing (if you know how)
👩‍🍳 Housework, cooking, helping with the kids & homework

🛏️ Accommodation: Warm caravan near the house (note: no WiFi in the caravan, but house has it)
🍽️ Food provided
🌄 Activities nearby: Hiking, climbing, caving — ideal for nature lovers! 🧗‍♂️🌲

Rules

❗Important Info
🚗 No public transport to our place.
🚌 Closest station: Infiesto (reachable by ALSA bus or FEVE train), 20 min drive from home.
📆 We usually go to town once a week for supplies.
