Renovation of an old building to make it an artists house !

The experience

We live in a former 18th-century coaching inn in the Île-de-France region, which we want to turn into an artists' home. The place needed a lot of work, so we're doing an eco-renovation, trying to restore its charm!
We mainly work in film and music, and we live on-site (usually with 4 to 6 people). We're sort of between city and country, as our valley represents

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner French or Beginner English

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We often need help with small jobs, often painting, whitewashing, simple carpentry, or a bit of masonry, or gardening. No skills required; we do it together anyway. Right now, we have a stone wall to point with lime.

Activities & Shift

We have a room for the guest who will be staying there. The room is locked, and there is access to the kitchen, bathroom, garden, etc.
