I had a really lovely experience at the hostel! Gee's family and staff who work at the hostel were extremely welcoming and flexible so I was still able to get to know Ahangama and do some fun activities. We had some amazing nights out as a team and with the guests and I would love to go back in the future

Yoyos šŸ§” This place is incredible! Gee is an absolutely amazing host and him and his staff really become like a second family. Volunteering here gives you a great balance between volunteering and holidaying. This was my first Worldpackers experience and I really cannot recommended Yoyos and Gee enough. If you want a social place, good surf, tropical paradise and to be surrounded by amazing people this is the place for you. I cannot wait to come back šŸ«¶

Volunteering at yoyos was really good! I was there during the off season so it was really quiet but it was nice to just chill. The work itself is super easy except I was hired as a social media host and when I arrived I found out I also had to be social host, check in people and team leader. The staff dorm is a 6 bed dorm with fans, it gets really hot at night time but you get used to it after a couple nights. You also get breakfast every morning and discounts on drinks at the bar. I would definitely recommend yoyos but maybe peak season would be much better as the area will be busier.

This place will be forever in my kindest memories. I loved everything about my experience, Gee is an amazing person and the people you meet in the hostel are amazing.

The hostel is a transition hostel for guests mainly flying in and out of Sri Lanka, so it is quite quiet. You will have a lot of free time, as you need to be in the hostel most of the day to wait to check in people and potential guests that walk in, without a booking. The family you stay with are very friendly and hospitable, and make you feel very welcome.

Gee, que foi meu anfitriĆ£o meu deu toda liberdade para desenvolver o meu trabalho em relaĆ§Ć£o a criaĆ§Ć£o de conteĆŗdo e me ajudou com as demandas que precisava para melhor me adaptar Ć  cidade. I had a very peaceful experience. Gee, who was my host, gave me all the freedom to develop my work in relation to content creation and helped me with the demands I needed to better adapt to the city.
