Program Details

We’re looking for someone with initiative, leadership experience, and a love for creative communities to join Sattya during a key phase of growth. You’ll support our local team in organizing programs, improving systems, and helping day-to-day operations run smoothly. In return, we offer free accommodation, a monthly stipend, and a meaningful role in a vibrant, community-led arts space in Kathmandu.

We value flexibility, collaboration, and self-direction. This position is best suited for someone who is proactive, thoughtful, and excited to contribute ideas—not just follow instructions. We’ll provide an orientation and ongoing check-ins, but you’ll also have space to make this role your own.

Activities & Shift

You’ll work 25–30 hours per week (5–6 hours/day, 5 days/week, flexible based on events or team needs).

Activities may include:
-Supporting event & workshop planning
-Helping improve systems for scheduling, budgeting, or outreach
-Attending team meetings & check-ins
-Helping run public events or community days
-Offering feedback and mentoring team members
-Assisting with creative documentation or social media (if desired)

We’ll work with you to shape a weekly schedule based on your skills and Sattya’s priorities at the time.

Rules

-We ask for a minimum commitment of 5 months (longer is great!)

-This is a leadership/support role, not a casual volunteer gig — we expect responsibility and follow-through

-Please respect Sattya’s community-first, non-commercial ethos

-Be culturally respectful and open to Nepali ways of working and communicating

-Our team is welcoming, but small. Kindness and flexibility go a long way
